Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Alexander Tieman, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief to Armenia, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the PM's office.

The premier highlighted the close cooperation established between the government of Armenia and the IMF, as well as the joint programs being implemented in the country. In this regard, Pashinyan added that the programs carried out with the IMF contribute to the effective implementation of the Armenian government's reform agenda.

Tieman, for his part, emphasized the effectiveness of the cooperation with the government of Armenia and noted that the IMF is also committed to consistently advancing the joint agenda.

The interlocutors discussed the ongoing cooperation and future programs. Attention was paid also to macroeconomic developments and the main directions of fiscal policy.

In addition, the parties exchanged views on ongoing processes in Armenia’s region, including infrastructure projects.
