Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: There is no shortage of applicants for the judges' qualification examinations [in Armenia], but the results are disgraceful: a small percentage of applicants pass the written phase. The data from the latest exams show that the majority cannot pass the minimum passing score set.

The judicial department informed us that the last written phase of the qualification examination was held on June 23 to replenish the criminal specialization section of the list of candidates for judges, in which 32 people participated, 30 of whom did not pass the minimum passing score set.

The next phase of that written examination, the qualification interview phase, is planned to be held in the near future, in which, in fact, only 2 people will participate.

In the near future, a written phase of qualification testing will be held in a special order to replenish the civil and anticorruption specialization sections of the list of candidate judges. The acceptance of applications has already ended.

Let us note that qualification tests for the purpose of replenishing the list of candidate judges [in Armenia] are conducted in case of necessity to replenish the list of candidate judges, based on the relevant decision of the Supreme Judicial Council.
