The Prosecutor's Office of Armenia has provided details about the incident that occurred in Shaki village of Syunik Province. Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed that at 14:17 on Thursday, Armenia's 112 emergency hotline received a call from a citizen that a person had entered their house in Syunik and shot their mother in the leg with a weapon.
The call was transferred to the Sisian city police department. At the scene, it was found out that at around 14:00 on Thursday, Azerbaijani citizen, serviceman Nasimi Musayev, illegally had entered a house in Shaki village in Sisian community of Syunik Province, but after being discovered, he had opened fire with a weapon. As a result of the shooting, A.A., born in 1987, was injured.
Then, the aforesaid Azerbaijani citizen fled the scene. As a result of the measures taken, Musayev was found in another house in Shaki. A criminal case has been initiated in the Sisian department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia on the incident. Samples were taken at the scene of the incident, and a forensic examination has been ordered. The Azerbaijani national was arrested at 15:30 on Thursday and taken to the investigative body.
The injured Armenian citizen was taken to the Sisian hospital, where she received medical care and was transferred to Yerevan. On the same day, a report was received from the Sisian hospital that two children of the injured Armenian citizen had sought medical assistance for bodily injuries. The child born in 2014 had a soft tissue fracture, and the child born in 2011 had a fractured right wrist.
