Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is participating in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC) session via videoconference, TASS reports.

The event, which is being held in a limited format and has started in Minsk, is attended by the heads of governments of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

An expanded EIC session will be held later in the day, in which delegations and leaders of observer countries will participate.

At this session, the heads of governments plan to focus on cooperation in logistics. In particular, they intend to update the list of priority integration projects in this domain, and discuss the development of electronic document management at sea checkpoints. Another topic is food security, which should be ensured by strengthening ties in the agricultural sector of the EAEU countries.

The aforesaid association includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
