Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has called on Armenia to think about whether it will be able to sell its brandy, vegetables, and fruits in the European Union (EU).
“If you have decided to go to the European Union, why are you in such a hurry? Have you clearly decided where your brandy will be taken, where your vegetables and fruits? In what amount?” Lukashenko said, addressing Armenia, at the meeting with heads of government delegations participating in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council session in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk.
Also, he called on Armenia to think about whether it will be able to compensate for the amount it currently sells in the Eurasian Economic Union market with sales in the EU market.
"If you are convinced that France will buy your brandy—even though they have nowhere to put it, they will buy from you as well, fine, go! [But] why are you running? Why are you putting the cart before the horse?" Lukashenko added, again addressing Armenia.
