Azerbaijani citizen Nasimi Musayev has been detained for two months as part of a criminal proceeding, the Investigative Committee of Armenia reported.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee had informed that a motion to place Azerbaijani citizen, serviceman Nasimi Musayev under pretrial detention along the lines of a criminal proceeding was submitted to the Armenian court.

Earlier, the Prosecutor's Office of Armenia reported that the prosecution on Friday launched public criminal prosecution against Azerbaijani citizen Nasimi Musayev under five articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia. They are: illegally crossing the state border; smuggling of military products, equipment, firearms or other materials, devices, objects, goods; illegal circulation of firearms, their main components, ammunition and other materials, devices, objects; violation of the inviolability of the dwelling; and causing serious harm to health.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that at around 14:00 on Thursday, Azerbaijani citizen, serviceman Nasimi Musayev, illegally had entered a house in Shaki village in Sisian community of Armenia’s Syunik Province, but after being discovered, he had opened fire with a weapon.

As a result of the shooting, A.A., born in 1987, was injured.

Then, the aforesaid Azerbaijani citizen fled the scene.

As a result of the measures taken, Musayev was found in another house in Shaki.

The Prosecutor's Office of Armenia had reported earlier today that another criminal proceeding was launched in connection with the aforesaid incident in Shaki.
