Opposition "Armenia" faction will not participate in the activities of the authorities-initiated National Assembly (NA) Inquiry Committee on the Armenian Apostolic Church, faction leader Anna Grigoryan told a press conference Monday.

Grigoryan said that this committee is in essence unconstitutional.

The opposition MP added that the provision of the government program on the dismissal of the Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, is also unconstitutional, which is why the two opposition factions of the NA have appealed to the Constitutional Court.

According to Grigoryan, the Armenian authorities are circulating false agendas among the public in order to divert attention.
