In the near future, in parallel with the developments of the TRIPP project, we expect the opening of the Armenia-Turkey border, as well as the opening of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Armenia-Turkey railway communication, respectively, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during the Armenia-United Kingdom business forum in Yerevan on Tuesday.

“It is important to note that as a result of the implementation of the TRIPP project, a railway connection will also be established between the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea. You also know that the North-West road project is being implemented in full swing, parallel to the railway, opening of east-west and roads in the same direction are also planned. What I am describing, the Armenian government has approved within the framework of the ‘Crossroads of Peace’ project,” Pashinyan added.

“In parallel with all these communications, today we are already considering and discussing the possibilities of building an oil pipeline, building a [natural] gas pipeline, and also having concrete discussions on power lines. It is clear that in the modern world, communication cables are also of primary importance,” he noted.

“All this means that Armenia and the United Kingdom are getting closer to each other, including geographically, and this is really the right moment to discuss what opportunities there are that can be used. It is obvious that the practical implementation of these opportunities should begin right now,” Pashinyan said.

“It is at this point that the words and actions of governments become a lower volume, and we are happy to provide the square and the platform to the private sector, so that they, seeing the processes, having the government’s approval and assurances, can also plan their future actions from today,” the Armenian premier added.
