The Iranian parliament has registered a draft to impeach Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, said Mohammad Rashidi, a member of the presidium of the Iranian legislative body.

According to him, an Iranian MP registered the draft of impeachment, but this document has not yet been transferred to the parliament's presidium, local media report.

Araghchi is accused of holding unscheduled talks with the American side through intermediaries during his visit to New York to attend the UN General Assembly session.
