Ambassadors of the European Union (EU) member states have agreed on the 22nd package of anti-Russian sanctions, which envisages the blacklisting of more than 1,500 legal entities and individuals affiliated with the Russian defense sector.

These restrictive measures will apply to defense enterprises of a number of countries and their associated persons, which, according to Brussels, are engaged in the production of dual-purpose goods.

This package does not contain fundamentally new large-scale trade and economic restrictions, but it will be the largest in the last four years, simultaneously increasing the number of persons blacklisted, effectively one and a half times the total sanctions list; previously, there were a little more than 3,000 facilities on this blacklist.
