An additional 7.6 billion drams (over $21.1 million) have been allocated for hosting the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) this month in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
The relevant decision was made at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.
The aforesaid funds were provided from the government’s reserve fund, and they will be directed to the procurement of organizational services for the “Blue Zone” at the event venue.
