The government of Armenia has approved the proposal to sign the Council of Europe (CoE) Convention on the co-production of audiovisual works in the form of series. The respective decision was made at the government’s Cabinet session Thursday.

The signing of this Convention will enable Armenia to deepen cooperation in the audiovisual sector with the other CoE member states, as well as other partner countries. This will promote the participation of Armenia’s producers in international projects, expand the opportunities for the production of Armenian TV series and their distribution in international markets, as well as increase the competitiveness and recognition of Armenia’s domestic media products.

At the moment, this Convention has been signed by these 11 CoE member states: France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Moldova, and the United Kingdom.
