At night, residents of Kuris village of Armenia’s Meghri city, bordering Azerbaijan, saw three people in civilian clothes, who, according to eyewitnesses, were most likely Azerbaijanis, 24NEWS.am reports.

After talking with them, they fled, and search operations were immediately launched in the village and surrounding areas.

One of the villagers told 24NEWS that in addition to Armenian services, border guards from the local Russian outpost also joined, with their drones, the search for these people.

Kuris village mayor Davit Ohanjanyan did not provide specific information about the incident, but did not deny the widespread rumors.

“It happened at night, contact law enforcement,” he said.

According to him, he also heard about it, but noted that there is no panic in the village at the moment, 24NEWS adds.

And the National Security Service of Armenia, in an interview with Pastinfo, neither denied nor confirmed this news, and asked to send a written request in this regard.
