The court of appeals on Thursday denied the motion to commute the pretrial detention of opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) chairman, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, PAP representative Iveta Tonoyan told a press conference on Friday.
According to Tonoyan, taking into account that the investigation has been completed and the court hearing date has been set for October 15, there is no reasonable explanation and reason why Tsarukyan should continue to remain under pretrial detention.
