Regular charter air cargo transportation of Armenian agricultural products to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will start in November, Republic of Armenia (RA) economy minister Gevorg Papoyan informed on Facebook.
“I received Almarex Aviation Ventures company co-founder Makar Petrosyan and director Paruyr Vardanyan. (...).
Almarex Aviation Ventures airline plans, from the beginning of November, to operate regular [charter] air cargo flights [from Armenia] to the United Arab Emirates in order to ensure safe and affordable transportation of Armenian agricultural products.
In the company’s director’s words, in the case of export from RA, the cost of air cargo transportation will be 2.2 US dollars per 1 kg, but as a result of changes in some factors, a price decrease is also possible. The flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800-type aircraft, which will enable transporting about 20 tons of cargo during each flight.

In the event of the successful implementation of the initiative, the possibilities of organizing similar flights in other directions will also be considered,” the minister of economy of Armenia wrote, in particular.
