UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has arrived in Armenia. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan welcomed Guterres at Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport, the government of Armenia informs.

The UN Secretary General is in Armenia to attend the Leaders' Summit on Biodiversity to be held within the framework of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17).

During the visit, Guterres will also meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Vahagn Khachaturyan.
