Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) has asked Armenia to suspend, starting from Thursday, the veterinary certification of Modus Granum company products intended for delivery to Russia, Agroexpert reports.
It is proposed to maintain this restriction until the aforesaid Russian agency’s specialists conduct an inspection of the enterprise. The respective request was sent to the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia, Rosselkhoznadzor informs.
The restriction applies to the aforementioned enterprise’s products intended for Russian recipients under the supervision of the agency. But shipments sent to Russia before Thursday will be allowed in the usual manner. Modus Granum is engaged in grain processing, flour, and compound feed production.
Information about the suspension of certification has been included in the list of restrictions on the supply of products from Armenia, which is maintained by Rosselkhoznadzor.
The inspection must confirm the compliance of the enterprise with the veterinary, medical, and sanitary requirements of Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union. The timeframe for this inspection, however, is not specified in the materials of the department.
