Armenia is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), it is working, there is no need for a new agreement there. Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan on Friday told this to reporters on the sidelines of the Leaders' Summit on Biodiversity, within the framework of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 17) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, in Yerevan

Mirzoyan noted this, referring to the question of whether there is an agreement with Russia regarding the EAEU, and whether Armenia could be removed from that organization. He stated that there is no provision in the EAEU documents that they can remove Armenia from the union.

"There is no such thing written. Otherwise, so much can happen in the world. Theoretically, so much can be written; there is no mechanism in the constitutional documents to remove the sixth with five," Mirzoyan said.

Regarding the statements that Armenia must make a decision between the EU and the EAEU by November 30, he said: "The people of the Republic of Armenia shall make a decision on that issue at some point in the future. Who says that we shall make a decision by November 30? We are thinking about different issues. I do not think that we should make such a concrete decision now."
