On May 30 Alumina Corporation is organizing public hearings on the operation works of Tejsar’s nepheline syenite mines at the Regional Center of Armenia’s Kotayk region, this information is stated in the official website of Armenia’s Ministry of Nature Protection.
Nepheline Syenite is used for producing aluminum.
The mine was discovered in 1931-32. Research works were conducted in 1949-1953 and 1957-1959.
