On the sidelines of the Leaders' Summit on Biodiversity, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan met with UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

The two discussed cooperation between Armenia and UNESCO, particularly in the fields of education, culture and cultural heritage preservation.

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of Armenia’s active participation in programmes implemented under UNESCO’s auspices and highlighted the significance attached to these initiatives.

The meeting also underscored UNESCO’s role in strengthening mutual trust and promoting regional cooperation.
