The United States must lift its sanctions and end its threats and pressure against Iran before any negotiations can take place, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said during a meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, in Tehran.

“We are still ready for dialogue, but the Americans must first stop their threats and lift the sanctions imposed on Iran, and only then will we be able to start dialogue. If the US truly seeks talks and an agreement, its current behavior is illogical and completely contradicts its own statements,” Pezeshkian said, informs the website of the Iranian presidential office.

He added that at the Iranian public did not trust the United States, fearing that Washington might launch another attack even if negotiations resumed, and if Washington still seeks negotiations with Iran, then it "must prove" its sincerity.
