The TRIPP project is designed to improve and facilitate the lives of people. Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Mirzoyan stated this while answering questions from MPs at Wednesday’s meeting of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of Armenia.

The meeting discussed the draft on ratification of the framework agreement on strategic cooperation between Armenia and the US on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) regional transport project.

“I cannot imagine any reasonable person who would say that we do not need this,” the Armenian foreign minister added.

According to Mirzoyan, TRIPP will facilitate Armenia’s border crossing not only with Azerbaijan, but also with Georgia and Iran.

"I hope the border [of Armenia] with Turkey will [re]open, and at some point we will think also about how to make life easier for businessmen and citizens," added the minister of foreign affairs and international trade of Armenia.
