The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia has confirmed that an Azerbaijani had crossed the border into Armenia on October 19.

On October 19, at around 17:50, a resident of the Chatakh village of Azerbaijan’s Tovuz District, Azerbaijani citizen Yashar Kasimov, born in 1968, was found in Armenia's Tavush Province, the NSS noted in a statement.

It added that as a result of the verification carried out, it was found that this Azerbaijani national had ended up in Armenia as a result of getting lost. Proper actions are being taken to return this Azerbaijani citizen, the NSS added.
