Ten of the 14 people arrested on Wednesday on charges of giving, aiding, and abetting election bribery, as well as receiving election bribes, as part of a group, including the Stepanavan city mayoral candidate and five council member candidates have been placed under pretrial detention and house arrest as preventive measures, the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The remaining defendants were given alternative preventive measures not involving imprisonment, the committee added.
