I cannot and do not want to comment on the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, as that is their business. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday stated this at a press briefing following the Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.
“We [i.e. Armenia] have our own separate relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey, and, as I have already said, we will work in that direction,” the Armenian premier added.
Relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey have been strained after the recent ban on wearing the hijab in Azerbaijani schools.
Turkey’s ruling circles have slammed this policy, describing it as a restriction on religious rights.
And Azerbaijani authorities have reacted harshly to the criticism, emphasizing that Turkey should not interfere in Azerbaijan’s internal affairs.
