Any action against Iran will have its price, stated Mohsen Rezaei, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council.
According to him, Iran has not yet used its entire means and is ready for the next stage of the war. In an interview with Drop Site News, Rezaei noted that Iran prefers a diplomatic solution if it enables the other parties to realize the consequences of further escalation. However, in the event of the continuation of the war, Iran has all the necessary means to respond.
According to Rezaei, in the previous stages of the conflict, Iran, due to the intensity of hostilities, had deployed additional means, but has not yet used its full potential. Also, he warned about the long-term consequences of the war: in his assessment, instability in energy markets could persist for up to three years.
Rezaei added that the conflict is changing the regional balance in favor of Iran, and the other Gulf states are reconsidering their relations with Tehran. As per the Iranian official, the Gulf Arab states, which previously relied on American protection, are now beginning to doubt whether the US is capable of protecting even its own military bases.
