YEREVAN. – The head of the Armenian parliament’s standing committee on foreign relations Armen Rustamyan met French senators Sophie Joissains, Philippe Marini and Bernard Fournier on Friday.

As the press service of the Armenian parliament informs Armenian News-NEWS.am, the senators informed that they accepted the invitation to visit Nagorno-Karabakh with great pleasure, visited Artsakh (Karabakh) and had effective discussions with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic president, MPs and ministers and enjoyed the beautiful nature of Karabakh.

“I hope you were not disappointed from Azerbaijan’s statement on your visit to Nagorno-Karabakh. For sure, you will find many friends in the Azerbaijani blacklist,” Armen Rustamyan said.

“We don’t care how Azerbaijan will respond to our visit,” French Senator Philippe Marini said with a smile.

The peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, Armenian-Turkish relations and other regional issues were also discussed during the meeting.
