Iran has demanded that Middle Eastern countries not assist the US in the event of renewed hostilities between Tehran and Washington. Fada-Hossein Maleki, a member of Iran's parliamentary national security and foreign policy committee, stated this on Friday.
The countries of the region have been given an ultimatum to refuse any assist for the US. During the 40-day war, Iran struck bases in the territory of any country that the US used in order to attack Iran, Maleki told RIA Novosti.
According to him, in the event of renewed hostilities, Tehran will be able to find out which Arab and other countries in the region are ready to assist the American troops. The Iranian side has previously conveyed the relevant information to them and is now monitoring the development of the situation.
Maleki noted that in the event of assistance to American forces, Iran's response could go beyond strikes on military facilities in the territory of such countries. According to him, Tehran could recognize these countries as hostile.
