The movement of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz without the permission of the Iranian authorities has been completely stopped through the destruction of their navigation systems and attacks on tankers, informed a source close to the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, reports the latter's state television and radio.
As per the source, these extreme measures were taken after the attack on three oil tankers Thursday afternoon and the destruction of another law-breaking ship last night.
Tehran has warned that in case of attempts to resume illegal oil shipments, actions against the violators and their technical support systems will be even tougher.
The source added that any repeated intervention by the US Air Force to assist the unauthorized transportation of raw materials through the Strait of Hormuz will result in a direct and decisive response, and full accountability for the consequences will fall on the American side.
