The legal defense team is preparing to appeal the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court to extend the pretrial detention of Armenia’s second president, Robert Kocharyan, for another two months, lawyer Aram Orbelyan said, according to news5tv.

Orbelyan will receive the explanation for the aforesaid court ruling on Monday, but he is confident that this time as well the court has presented the risk of hindering the investigation of the case as a rationalization for the pretrial detention.

The pretrial detention of second President Robert Kocharyan was also extended by two months on Friday. Earlier on Friday, the Anti-Corruption Court had extended the pretrial detention of Robert Kocharyan's son, Sedrak Kocharyan, also by two months.
