Ahead of Silicon Mountains Summit & Expo 2026, scheduled to take place in Yerevan on November 3–4, the organizers of Silicon Mountains held an informal meeting with journalists to present this year’s key topics, new format, and speakers. The meeting was held with the support of Ucom, the Summit’s Platinum Partner.
The meeting was attended by Ralph Yirikian, Ucom General Director; Aram Mkhitaryan, Head of Yandex Armenia and Regional Head of Yango Group for Central Asia and the Caucasus; Gurgen Mardoyan, Director of the PMI Science Research Center in Armenia; Nzhdeh Hovhannesian, National Coordinator of EU4Innovation; Luiza Ayvazyan, Head of the Armenia Office of the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE); Hovik Musayelyan, Director of Synopsys Armenia; Armen Baldryan, Chairman of the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies (UEICT) and General Director of Unicomp; Eduard Musayelyan, Executive Director of UEICT; and representatives of leading media outlets.

This year, Silicon Mountains will be held under the theme “Invest in Innovation,” focusing on developing business cooperation, financing technological innovation, and exploring opportunities to attract international investment.
During the meeting, the organizers presented the Summit’s main components, international speakers, and new features. For the first time, the event will take place over two days and feature a technology exhibition, providing startups and technology-focused educational institutions with an opportunity to showcase their projects and solutions while establishing new business connections.

“Technological advancement is impossible without continuous investment. And investment goes far beyond financial resources. Equally important are investments in knowledge, human capital, infrastructure, and international cooperation. At Ucom, we value platforms like Silicon Mountains that connect global technology trends with Armenia’s development prospects. We not only introduce cutting-edge technologies but also strive to help create an environment where innovative ideas can be transformed into practical solutions,” said Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom.
“This year, Silicon Mountains 2026 will serve as a meeting point for technology industry leaders, where technology will drive collaboration at various levels — across government, business, startups, and education. The packed two-day agenda and participation of internationally renowned speakers demonstrate Armenia’s potential and once again reinforce its position on the global technology map,” said Eduard Musayelyan, Executive Director of the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies.
The event, taking place on November 3–4 at Dvin Music Hall, will feature discussions with international experts, a technology exhibition, startup presentations, workshops, and business meetings, as well as the International Microelectronics Olympiad awards ceremony and the Microelectronics Forum. Another new addition to this year’s program is a panel discussion dedicated to women’s leadership in technology, public administration, and diplomacy. The various event formats will create opportunities for knowledge exchange, new partnerships, and the exploration of investment opportunities.

Launched in 2019 at the initiative of the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies, Silicon Mountains is a technology platform that has brought together more than 100 speakers and 10,000 participants over the years. This year marks its 11th edition. The initiative aims to contribute to the development of Armenia’s technology ecosystem, expand international partnerships, and create new investment opportunities.
For the fourth consecutive year, Ucom is supporting the initiative as the Summit’s Platinum Partner, reaffirming its commitment to developing Armenia’s technological potential and strengthening international cooperation.
