Strengthening peace and stability among the countries of the South Caucasus is of particular importance amid ongoing geopolitical changes in the region, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said.

“Georgia has always been a staunch supporter of peaceful coexistence and dialogue in the region. We [i.e. Georgia] welcome the peace process launched between our neighboring countries [Armenia and Azerbaijan], and hope that it will become a prerequisite for the establishment of long-term peace and economic development in the region,” Kobakhidze stated, the Georgian First Channel reports.
