Latvia has convened an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council following recent Russian strikes on Ukraine that killed at least 26 people. Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže announced this on her page on the social media platform X.

“Latvia has convened an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in response to Russian attacks on Ukraine’s civilian population, including a humanitarian aid distribution point in Komyshuvakha, where at least 26 civilians were killed,” Braže said.

On November 2, the Russian army launched a massive strike on the settlement of Komyshuvakha in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, killing 26 people.
