Armenia hopes to hold comprehensive discussions with its Russian partners and improve bilateral relations, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan said on November 5 during a joint session of the National Assembly’s standing committees discussing the 2027 draft state budget.

Referring to trade restrictions, Mirzoyan added that he hoped they would be lifted in the near future.

Russia began gradually imposing strict restrictions and bans on imports of a wide range of goods from Armenia in May–June 2026, citing phytosanitary requirements and concerns over product quality.
