YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ministry of Culture and Yerevan city hall released a joint statement regarding the situation around the Central Market in Yerevan.
A part of the historic Central Market has been dismantled on May 27. On the same day, however, the Armenian Ministry of Culture specialists visited the site and recorded the dismantling of the part of the market. The dismantling works were stopped and on Monday the Ministry turned to the city hall to invite professionals and to research the situation. To note, the constructor was only authorized to realize construction works in underground section of the Central Market.
