YEREVAN. – A delegation led by Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Ms. Rasa Juknevičienė arrived in Armenia on Sunday for a two-day official visit. 

And the delegation from Lithuania met with Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and senior officials and officers from the MOD and the Armed Forces, MOD press service informs.   

The parties explored the avenues for developing Armenian-Lithuanian cooperation in the defense sector. And during the talks concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Lithuanian side noted that it is in favor of the issue’s peaceful settlement.    

Subsequently, Armenia’s Defense Minister and Lithuania’s National Defense Minister signed an agreement on cooperation between the respective ministries of both countries.

Along the lines of her visit to Armenia, Juknevičienė will also be received by President Serzh Sargsyan, FM Edward Nalbandian, and Catholicos Karekin II.
