YEREVAN.- The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) bloc is trying to use political capital of Prosperous Armenia, said MP from ruling party Khosrov Harutunyan.

Prosperous Armenia attracts the considerable part of moderate opposition voters and ANC is simply using it, he told reporters on Wednesday.

During the Tuesday rally in Armenia’s capital, ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan voiced support for Prosperous Armenia Party which withdrew from a ruling coalition after the May 6 parliamentary election.

“Prosperous Armenia is a political force of new quality. The party does not fully agree with the government, for instance it voted against the five-year program but at the same time supported bills on small and medium-sized business,” he said.

According to him, ANC is a hostage of its radical statements and is trying to pursue the goals not to stop halfway.

“However, the matter is how unbiased the opposition bloc’s moves are. The response is decreasing number of ANC rally participants,” he concluded.
