YEREVAN. – The prices in Armenia’s consumer market have reduced by 1.3 percent in June, as compared with May, the National Statistical Service informs.  

The food prices dropped by 2.5 percent, whereas the non-food item prices increased by 0.1 percent and 0.4 percent in the market and in the service sector respectively.     

As a result, the 12-month inflation in the country reached 0.7 percent in June, and this exceeds May’s indicator by a 0.2 percentage point. 

At the same time, solely the food prices dropped—by 0.9 percent—on the 12-month basis, whereas the non-food item prices rose by 3.9 percent and the service sector prices increased by 1.9 percent.
