YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Rescue Service received a call, on Friday at 3:51am, informing of a road accident, nearby the Yerevan Champagne and Wine Factory, and of a natural gas leakage. 

A firefighting squad was dispatched to the scene, the Rescue Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

It was found out that a BMW had gone off road, for yet unknown reasons, and crashed into an electricity utility pole. 

But prior to the firefighters’ arrival at the scene, the vehicle’s driver, capital city Yerevan resident G. Abgaryan (born in 1985), was transferred to hospital.    

Doctors say the patient is in stable but critical condition.
