There is no need in Armenia-Karabakh railway road, South Caucasus Railways CJSC General Director Shevket Shaydulin stated at the Dec. 24 press conference. “From the cargo transportation viewpoint, after Iran-Armenia railroad construction, the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transit route there will be a demand in its shortening and being closer to Karabakhi minerals. However currently, there is no such necessity,” Shaydulin said, adding that these issues are decided by government.
