YEREVAN. – Hayots Ashkharh daily writes that Armenian opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party Supreme Body representative Arsen Hambardzumyan has said:

“The [2013] presidential elections are not an end unto itself. We see the presidential elections in the context of a complete power change. And if it becomes possible to unite different opposition forces around a shared political platform—[that is,] the adoption of constitutional changes that assume a complete power change—, the option of supporting a non-Dashnaktsutyun candidate is possible, too.

It is very likely that this candidate might not be a representative of any political force. At least I do not imagine such scenario that the opposition field’s political forces unite around any candidate who represents any oppositional force,” Hayots Ashkharh writes.
