YEREVAN. – Armenian National Assembly’s (NA) youngest MP Hayk Grigoryan has decided to make changes in Article 4 of the Constitution, Zhoghovurd daily writes.   

“Since Grigoryan’s ‘sponsor’ is Syunik Regional Governor Suren Khachatryan, he recently summoned the young MP and asked what he has decided to do at the NA. And Grigoryan stated: ‘There is a mistake in Article 4 of the Constitution; I will change [it].’ [And] The Governor became happy that his candidate already has begun working.

To note, constitutional changes [in Armenia] are made solely by way of a referendum, about which the MP probably did not know. And Article 4 refers to elections of the Republic’s President, National Assembly, local government bodies, and to referendums.  

The newspaper tried to clarify from NA MP Hayk Grigoryan as to what mistake he discovered in the Constitution’s article, but he denied our information.

Incidentally, according to our information, Hayk Grigoryan has received an automobile from his sponsor as a gift, so as to attend the NA sessions,” Zhoghovurd writes.
