YEREVAN.- Armenian government decided to install additional safety indicators on Armenian brandy producers.

Physical and chemical parameters will be introduced as well and some of them will be brought into compliance with the requirements adopted in Russia, Europe and the CIS.

During its Thursday meeting, the government decided to amend the decision “On approval of the technical regulation of Armenian brandy and spirits of Armenian brandy” adopted in 2006.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Armenian brandy and spirits are one of the main products exported from Armenia.

By changing the regulations, internationally approved common standards will be established to promote the safety of brandy, export promotion, and consumer protection.
