YEREVAN. – A bizarre occurrence transpired Tuesday at Armenian capital city Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport, Zhoghovurd daily writes. 

“A passenger from the Tehran-Yerevan-London transit flight was behaving improperly. He was making a noise, disturbing the passengers, and not obeying the Airport’s security personnel.   

[And] The latter were compelled to appeal to Armenia’s Police. As a result, the law enforcement detained the person, who was disturbing the public order, and took him to the Police precinct.    

According to our sources, the man is a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

We attempted to learn from the Police Public Relations and Information Department [PRID] as to the reason for the foreigner’s disorderly conduct. [But] the PRID solely confirmed our information [and] added that an investigation is in progress,” Zhoghovurd writes.
