YEREVAN. – The US dollar still loses ground in Armenia’s financial market at a rapid pace. 

The American currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 407.79/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Wednesday, and this is a 0.29-percent—or a 1.19-point—fall from the previous trading session on Tuesday.

In addition, the dollar was even offered for AMD 407.60/$1 at the end of the trading day.   

And the total sales were $5.65 million at the stock exchange.

In Armenia’s cash foreign currency market, the exchange offices sell the US currency at AMD 409/$1, which was their buying exchange rate two days ago, and the dollar’s current buying rate has dropped all the way to AMD 405-406/$1.
