HIROSHIMA. – A presentation of Armenia and the center Hikari was held by the Japanese city Hiroshima. The presentation was held within the frameworks of the visit of the Armenian delegation, headed by the Armenian-Japanese scientific-educational, cultural center Hikari head Karine Piliposyan.

The delegation arrived in Japan by the invitation of the country to participate in the events devoted to the anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing. The presentation took place on Aug. 6 in the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA).

Hikari means ‘light’ in Japanese. The program ‘Lanterns of the World’ launched 8 years ago. The Armenian children were the first in the world to prepare and send Japanese traditional lanterns and cranes for the Hiroshima tragedy anniversary.
