YEREVAN. – Share of agriculture in Armenia’s exports increased from 13 to 19 percent during the first half of 2012, the Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan told reporters on Friday.

According to him, it is explained by high yield which also led to the reduction in price for fruit and vegetables this July. For example, fruit price reduced by 79.8, while vegetable price - by 91.4 percent as compared to the same period last year.

The Minister said factories purchased peach at AMD 50-60 per kilo, apricot at 60-100 and tomato – at 30-35.

At the same time, the Ministry runs talks with some factories so that they can purchase fruit and vegetables this year as well.
