YEREVAN. – We underscore the upcoming local government elections because they are the state’s inseparable limbs, Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Spokesperson and MP Tigran Urikhanyan stated during a press conference on Saturday.

“Our position with respect the Government head and program has not changed. We favor a change of the head of the Government [that is, of PM Tigran Sargsyan], he noted.

In the Spokesperson’s words, PAP proposes programs and solutions—including human resources—with advantages.

“I welcome those who support [us]. [Gyumri city mayoral candidate] Mr. [Samvel] Balasanyan is a PAP member, [and] that says it all, Urikhanyan noted, and added that PAP regularly cooperates with constructive political forces.

“Come the opportune moment, we will speak about [next year’s] presidential elections [, too],” he also remarked.

To note, PAP has nominated Samvel Balasanyan as mayoral candidate in Gyumri, and—PAP’s former coalition government partner—ruling Republican Party likewise is supporting his candidacy.
