YEREVAN. – Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan, who returned from abroad on August 26, met with PAP’s Masis city members and spoke about next year’s presidential elections, Hraparak daily writes.

“He announced that he put before President Serzh Sargsyan two conditions to support his [Sargsyan’s] candidacy in the presidential elections: Giving PAP thirty percent of the Government and changing the PM.

‘If he agrees to my terms, we will support him. If not, I myself will nominate my candidacy,’ Gagik Tsarukyan told his team members, specifically stressing that PAP is not preparing to support any other candidates.   

These two terms complement one another in the sense that Gagik Tsarukyan can nominate his candidacy and after the elections receive what he requires in return for supporting Serzh Sargsyan, since supporting can also be in the form of being nominated,” Hraparak writes.
