YEREVAN. – The high-level fire danger still continues for Thursday in Armenia’s Ararat Valley, its mountainous zone, and at the Syunik valleys, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.      

Brief rainfall and thunderstorms are expected in the northern areas on Thursday, the majority of the regions on Friday, and everywhere on Saturday and Sunday.  

The winds will blow at a velocity of 3-8 m/second on Thursday, and at a velocity of 5-10 m/second from Friday to September 3. But this could increase to 18-23 m/second during the thunderstorms.   

The temperatures will gradually drop from Thursday to Sunday, and by 6-8 degrees Celsius at night and by 8-10 degrees in the afternoon. 

There is a chance of thunderstorms for the capital city Yerevan on Thursday and Friday evening, but no precipitation is expected. Brief rainfall and thunderstorms are forecast for Saturday and Sunday, and the winds should pick up speed during the thunderstorms and blow at a velocity of 18-23 m/second.
